CHU-HUA KUEI associate professor, management science. B.B.A., Chinese Culture University; M.B.A., University of New Haven; M.Phil. and Ph.D., City University of New York, Dr. Kuei, who hails from Taiwan, previously taught at Pace as an adjunct associate professor of management science during the Fall 1993/Spring 1994 semesters. Prior to Pace, Dr. Kuei taught operations/quality management at Monmouth College, where he was associate professor from 1990-1994. He also taught business policy at Baruch College in 1990. Dr. Kuei is a prolific writer and has an extensive history of published works. His recent and forthcoming books include Strategic Total Quality Management, with C. N. Madu (Quorum Books, 1994); and Experimental Statistical Designs and Analysis in Simulation Modeling, coauthor C.N. Madu (Quorum Books, 1993). A sample of his numerous upcoming works in professional journals include, "A Strategic Design Model for the Selection of Advanced Technology, "with C. Lin, J. Aheto, and C.N. Madu in International Journal of Production Research, and "Sequential Experimentation and Multilevel Taguchi Designs in Simulation Metamodeling of a Maintenance Float Problem," with C.N. Madu in Microelectronics and Reliability. Dr. Kuei has contributed articles to IIE Transaction, Long Range Planning, Computers and Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Microelectronics and Reliability, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Business and Industrial Management Journal, Journal of Operational Research Society, Total Quality Management Journal, and International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, among others. Dr. Kuei has presented papers at over twenty-five academic and professional conferences. His most recent presentations, with coauthor C.N. Madu, include a paper entitled, "Strategic Total Quality Management: Transformation Process Overview, " 1993 Decision Sciences Institute Conference in Washington D.C., and "Strategic Aspects of Deming's Quality Philosophy, "Processings of the 1993 Association on Employment Practices and Principles in San Diego, California." Dr. Kuei has been involved in many professional activities and organizations and has received several scholarly awards. He was the coauthor of a paper with C.N. Madu, professor of management science at Lubin, which received a 1992 Recognition Award for Scholarly Research in basic research from the Lubin School. He received the 1992 Grant-in-Aid-for-Creativity Award from Monmouth College. In 1991 he was the recipient of the Best Theoretical/ Empirical Research Paper Award from the Southeast Decision Science Institute. Dr. Kuei is a member of the American Society for Quality Control, the Strategic Planning Society, and the International Society for Strategy and Planning. SIMON DZENG, associate professor, accounting. B.A., National Taiwan University; M.B.A. and Ph.D., Drexel University. Dr. Dzeng's past teaching experiences include the position of assistant professor at Baruch College, where he taught courses in accounting and information systems; and Rowan College (formerly Glassboro State College), where he taught accounting. He also was a teaching and research assistant at Drexel University LaSalle University. Dr. Dzeng's most recent publication is "A Comparsion of Multivariate and Univariate Analytical Procedures Using Both Aggregate and Desegregate Data," Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Fall 1994. He also recently published," Attestation of Engagements on Compliance," The CPA Journal March 1994. Prior to that he published," An Evaluation of Itami's Adaptive Behavior Model As a Management Accounting Framework Using Baiman's Criteria," Southern Business Review, Fall 1989. Dr. Dzeng belongs to the Alpha Iota Delta Society (Decision Sciences) National Honor Society. He is also a member of the American Accounting Association, Financial Management Association, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Management Accountants. Prior to academia, Dr. Dzang worked at Tungtex Textile Company as an assistant sales manager. He is a CPA and a CMA.
